Thursday 4th August: on the road from Victoria to Tofino

Up and away by 08.50 on Highway 1N. This highway goes right across Canada but we just travel north to Parksville and then left onto Highway 4. This is our first view point and like the Blue Ridge Parkway we mustn't stop at every viewpoint or we won't get anywhere today !!

A 7 hour journey to Tofino but easy driving and we made many stops including a grocery and liquer store shop.
We arrived at Sea Star Beach Resort and will be here for 4 nights. Situated close to the beach, after unpacking we had a very good leg stretch/walk in the late afternoon sunshine, We have a very nice studio apartment. It's quite quirky and "twee" and reminds us a little of our apartment in Assisi last year. It has full kitchen with limitations but chef produced a very edible spag bol so all is not lost !
