| My boy on the Spirit of Columbia ferry from Vancouver to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. After a night at The Delta Hotel at Vancouver airport we picked up our hire car and headed for Tsawwassen ferry port. Our check in girl at Hertz did her best to get us to upgrade our Nissan which is "quite old" and for only $2 per day as a long term rent we could upgrade to a new Ford with far more specs........so pleased we declined as our old Nissan is a very shinny new black Mitsubishi Lancer that is a dream to drive ! |

| Arrived at our hotel by lunch time and another nice surprise as we have been given a room upgrade from room with kitchenette to full kitchen and seperate lounge ! Quick unpack and time to walk around the Inner Harbour area |

| Inner Harbour, a very pleasant stroll along the "prom" lots of street entertainers and craft stalls, a very popular vibrant area, just beware of the very large sea gulls if they "poop" in flight !!! |

| A very good day and feeling quite settled into our new adventure. We had an early dinner (time clock still partly on UK time) in one of the many waterside restaurants, so nice to be able to sit out on a warm evening. |
